Scotty McCreery’s Son Avery Steals the Show During Heartwarming “Love Like This” Performance
Scotty McCreery’s fans were in for an unforgettable moment on his Two for the Road tour when his young son, Avery, made a surprise appearance on stage. During a recent concert, the country star brought his three-year-old out while performing “Love Like This” — the deeply personal song he wrote the night Avery was born.
Scotty and his wife, Gabi, welcomed Avery in 2022, and the emotions of becoming a first-time parent inspired Scotty to pour his heart into the lyrics:
“When I first laid eyes on you / That’s when I knew / I’ve never known a love like this…”
A Moment Made for the Stage
Since the song was written for Avery, it felt only fitting that father and son shared the stage for such a special performance. Scotty posted the moment to Instagram on November 25, where fans immediately fell in love with the adorable scene.
Avery, wearing protective headphones, denim overalls, and a T-shirt, walked hand-in-hand with his dad toward the center of the stage. Scotty knelt down to sing at eye level with him, and even passed Avery a small red toy car to hold as he continued the song.
The toddler’s huge grin said it all — he was soaking in every second of the spotlight with his dad.
Fans React with Pure Joy
The father-son moment melted hearts across social media. Comments poured in:
“Love this video — fav moment from the show I went to! Avery is the cutest.”
“Such a sweet moment. You are the proudest daddy!”
“He’s so precious! You’re doing an amazing job as a dad!”
Scotty & Gabi Welcome Their Second Baby
The McCreerys have had a full and joyful year. On September 23, Scotty and Gabi announced the arrival of their second son, Oliver Cooke McCreery. They shared the news with a series of tender hospital photos featuring baby Oliver and big brother Avery meeting him for the first time.
Soon after, Scotty joined the Big D & Bubba show to talk about life as a family of four:
“It’s been a whirlwind the last few days… We’ve gone from zone defense to man-to-man, so we’re all over the house.”
When asked about having more kids someday, Scotty shared:
“We’ll see down the road. All in God’s plan. Right now, we’re just trying to catch up on sleep.”
